Jaguar C-X75: super car on jet engines!
Electric super cars are experimented now by many companies, and partly Jaguar goes on the same way that Audi and Mercedes. The Ingolstadt firm has presented one year ago on the Frankfurt showroom the electric Audi R8 which has received own name E-tron. Similar Mercedes SLS E-Cell has been announced this summer. And like these two workings out, Jaguar C-X75 is electro car which have electric motor on each of four wheels . An index in the car name — in honor of 75-year-old anniversary which Jaguar mark celebrates this year.
However, the English company has gone further competitors and has decided to compete in capacity with the mightiest petrol super cars that while it turns out not at all contenders. As a result electric super car is capable to type hundred only for 3,4 sec. The maximum speed — 330 km/h. And what about jet engines?
A payment for superabilities — a small cruising range. All rests against capacity of accumulators which while is insufficient at all modern electro cars. The present compact models produced in lots, even at economic movement mode, are capable to pass no more than 150-200 km. And a super car from Jaguar, by calculations of its founders, additional charge is required already through 109 km of run. But Englishmen have a trump — the gas microturbines capable directly on the move to recharge the car. Affirms that this working out created in cooperation with company Bladon Jets, – the first viable axial microturbines in the world. With their help a cruising range electric super car increases to 900 km.
From the technical point of view this car is experimental working out, and start of these decisions in manufacture isn't planned in the near future. 2011 Iconic Motors Sports Car AC Roadster
Designed as the world’s most completely refined and advanced super cars, 2011 Iconic Motors AC Roadster has got styling cues from the legendary Shelby Cobra.
Now American sports car company ICONIC Motors have partnered up with AC Cars and renamed the car AC Roadster. First revealed by AC Cars back in 2008 as the GTR Roadster, then unveiled in the flesh at last year's Top Marques Monaco event as the MkVI AC Cobra, ICONIC has partnered with AC to present the AC Roadster. The sports car a 6.9-liter V-8 rated at 800 horsepower married to a classic AC-styled roadster chassis weighing in at about 2,400 pounds. That's good for 60 mph in under three seconds, according to the company.
“The ICONIC AC Roadster is more than just a sports cars, it’s among the world’s most refined and beautifully designed super cars. It’s the lightest, strongest, most well engineered, high performance roadster of our time. The engine, drive train, support electronics and overall chassis make this one of the most complete vehicle packages on the market today and is made right here in the USA,” said Claudio Ballard, chairman and founder, ICONIC Motors.
This innovative process allows for ICONIC Motors to capture the look and style of timeless classic roadsters from the 1950's and ’60's, while infusing all of the modern technology and engineering available today, this super car is truly the first of its kind.
The 2011 ICONIC AC Roadster is the first of many uniquely designed modern era muscle cars that blend the legendary design cues of the past with the technology of the future. The sports cars is now available for order, with first deliveries to come in 2011.

SAAB Spyker 9+ Tribute - SAAB Supercar
Paying his tribute to the SAAB Spyker Automobiles, Swedish designer Eduard Gray has come up with a vehicle concept called the “SAAB Spyker 9+ Tribute” that is not only pleasant to watch but to drive as well. Combining the elements of a mid-engined SAAB with the Spyker platform, the new supercar featuring low down aerodynamics will possibly generate power from an Audi-sourced V8 engine. Touting a big windshield that extends to complete the roof, the Saab Spyker 9+ Tribute allows a wider view to the commuters. His long, lean two-door Saab Spyker 9+ concept car imagines an evolution of Saab's Aero-X enhanced by some of Spyker's exoticism.

The ink is barely dry on Dutch supercar marque Spyker’s deal to buy Saab, but speculation as to what sort of alluring automotive offspring might arise from the union has already begun. Eduard Gray, an industrial designer educated at Coventry University in the UK and now based in Trollhättan, Sweden, has come up with a concrete vision.

The union of Saab and Spyker presents a unique opportunity to create a design that takes the best of each brand and distills their qualities into a single product," he said. Gray, who is Dutch and English, points out that a truly unique car can be assembled with the low-slung mid-engine Spyker supercar chassis and the design language at Saab. Spyker lends us its supercar chassis with a mid-mounted engine and low down aerodynamics while Saab contributes with the style, character and engineering making for a design that is as pleasant to look at as it is to drive.

Indeed, his six drawings of the Saab Spyker 9+ Tribute shows elements of both companies. Gray calls the work "a quick expression of my optimism for the future of the brand."

The distinctly Scandinavian design features a Spyker chassis with a mid-mounted engine and low down aerodynamics, including a system to reduce friction in straight line driving whilst increasing traction in cornering and braking. An enormous panoramic glass roof gives it something of a targa feel as well. Envisioned as a 2+2 model in the storied GT tradition, engine-wise it’s speculated to house a V6 bi-turbo capable of producing over 600 hp, perhaps powered purely by ethanol – we’re talking about the future after all.
