Most expensive loudspeakers

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Most expensive loudspeakers.

The New Zealand company Arvus has come with an exclusively stylish loudspeakers aptly titled “The Prerenaissance”.

Each pair of the loudspeakers has taken hundreds of man hours each and the result is of course extravagant and almost artistic.

Starting from the bottom up, the plinth is made from hand carved granite. Four chambers house a quasi-five-way design and the sound technology offered is a perfect match for the expensive looks. With 6 channels of amplification, the speakers can make up a total of 3000 watts RMS.

The design was inspired by such objects as a exotic cars, the Coke bottle and musical instruments. The angles were chosen to give the speaker a feeling movement and life.
According to Arvus there are dozens of finishing options, from wood (like you see here), painted, carbon fibre, and even stainless steel.

Each pair of The Prerenaissance loudspeakers costs $140,000 (the price includes delivery, setup, and tuning)

World’s most expensive painting on show in London

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents World’s most expensive painting on show in London.

Pablo Picasso’s “Nu au Plateau de Sculpteur”, the world’s most expensive painting, was to go on display Monday for the first time at London’s Tate Modern museum.

The 1932 painting set a world record when it was snapped up by a mystery bidder for 106.5 million dollars at New York’s Christie’s auction house last May.

It will be the first time the painting has been displayed anywhere since 1961 and prompted the famous London museum to create a new Pablo Picasso room to house the loaned work.

“This is an outstanding painting by Picasso and I am delighted that through the generosity of the lender we are able to bring it to the British public for the first time,” said Nicholas Serota, the museum’s director.

The painting depicts the Spanish artist’s lover and muse, Marie-Therese Walter, lying nude with the painter looking on.

Picasso met Walter when he was 45 and she was 17 outside the Galeries Lafayette in Paris in 1927, while he was still married to Olga Khoklova.

America’s Most Expensive 2010 Cars to Insure

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents America’s Most Expensive 2010 Cars to Insure.

Beyond the price tag, there’s maintenance and, of course, auto insurance. Luckily, Insure.com has made a list of America’s most expensive 2010 cars to insure.

The list includes only 2010 models and is based on the average insurance for a 40-year-old male with a good driving record and a 12-mile commute. The policies surveyed include liability protection and uninsured motorist coverage. The prices set by the insurers are based not just on the cars themselves, but also on the driving habits of those most likely to own such a car.

They found that the least expensive 2010 car to insure is the Mazda Tribue i at $1,070.25 annually.

The most expensive 2010 car to insure is the 6-cylinder Porsche 911 Carrera GT2 2-door coupe. That’s no surprise, as this sort of luxury vehicle appeals to those who’d like to test the car’s top speed of over 200 mph. The price to insure this 500+ hp monster of a sports car averages at $2,943.78 annually.

World’s Most Expensive Beach Towel By Hermes

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents World’s Most Expensive Beach Towel By Hermes.

I’m in New York City, where it is currently below twenty degrees, and although I have enjoyed my afternoon of snowman building and hot toddy drinking, a little part of me is really looking forward to summer, to the beach, and to days that last longer than 4 pm. And what better way to spend a day on the beach than spread out on a luxurious Hermes beach towel? Add a crisp cocktail flavored with something fresh and tropical and I’m ready to book a flight. Plus, this beach towel is super eye-catching, so there’s no way your hot summer bikini body won’t anstd out among all the rest.

The thing is that, honestly, there’s not terribly much difference between this beach towel and the kind you buy in department stores. Despite the $530 price tag, there’s just not much you can do to a beach towel to improve upon the design. The print is perfect, and the material is 100% cotton, but at 36″ x 60″, it’s not even the biggest beach towel around. So, why the exorbitant price tag? The label, of course. You pay about 400% extra to get that discrete little logo and understated orange box.
